He is responsible for strategies for ADAS and autonomous car at Arm and working with car OEMs and Tier one suppliers to propose next generation processor technologies for automotive systems and developing Arm ecosystem for automotive. Earlier in his career, he worked for Infineon as senior application engineer for automotive and he has more than 17 years experiences for automotive applications such as body, EV, chassis, IVI and ADAS. Mr. Arai holds a master degree of electrical engineering from Tokyo University of Science.

    Toru Baji graduated from Osaka University Graduate School and joined Hitachi's Central Research Lab in 1977. There he conducted research in solid-state image sensors and processor architecture.

    From 1984, he was engaged in analog-digital circuit and processor architecture research at University of California, Berkeley and Hitachi America R&D respectively.

    After transferred to Hitachi's Semiconductor Division in 1993, the Division has been moved to Renesas and he served as a General Manager of Automotive Application Technology Department.

    He joined NVIDIA in 2008 as a Senior Solution Architect for automotive business, supporting worldwide customers for automotive processors applications. Since 2016, he serves as an NVIDIA technology advisor and GPU Evangelist.

    Toshiro Muramatsu started to work for NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD. in 1991 as a research engineer of Nissan Research Center. Since then, Toshiro has researched collision avoidance radar sensors, in-vehicle multimedia with wireless interface, advanced concept on Electric Vehicle, advanced service on Japanese digital radio, Telematics platform and its services. During this career, Toshiro had been dispatched to the US two times, at California for one year since September 2000 and at Michigan for three years since July 2006. Since November 2011, Toshiro Muramatsu became Chief Service Architect of Vehicle Information Technology Division, responsible for vehicle IT service architecture planning and implementation for global market. And August 2013, Toshiro was dispatched at Silicon Valley as Director of Vehicle IT Division Silicon Valley to establish advanced planning and prototyping team. In April 2016, Toshiro became Deputy General Manager of Connected Car & Services Engineering Department and Connected Car and Autonomous Drive Division. In April 2017, Toshiro got HD Map Engineering task at AD and ADAS Advanced Technology Development Department, additionally. In July 2019, Toshiro became General Manager of Connected Technology Development and Service Operation Department responsible for off-board system development and operation.

    Earlier, Akira was the head of the technology research department and senior analyst for the brokerage firm CLSA Securities. He also served as the director of semiconductor research at IDC Japan and the senior analyst for semiconductors at Gartner/Dataquest Japan.

    He is a regular speaker at events held by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) and Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), and is frequently cited by publications including Semiconductor Industry News and Nikkei Electronics. He is also a member of the technical examination committee for automotive semiconductors for Japan’s Patent Office and a member of the FeRAM evaluation committee at the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), Japan's largest public R&D management organization.

    Akira is also a regular writer for the E-Journal, Nikkei Microdevices, and other semiconductor industry publications.

    He received his Electrical Engineering degree from the Musashi Institute of Technology.

Tsutomu Nakajima received a master's degree in optimal control theory from Keio University and a master's degree in computer science from Northwestern University.

    Dr. Florian Baumann is the CTO for the Unstructured Data Solutions division of Dell EMC, specializing in Automotive & Artificial Intelligence.

    Florian was working as a Vision Systems Team Lead in the development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, acting as a contact person between OEMs and TIER1/TIER2 for defining, discussing and tracking of requirements and responsible for finding and reviewing ADAS solutions. In 2016, Florian moved to the position of the Technical Director at FICOSA International (part of Panasonic Automotive).

    He was in charge of delivering and creating the company’s products and targets as well as pre-development and research topics.

    Florian guided ADAS products from scratch to the start-of-production for German premium OEMs and was in charge of the whole workflow of ADAS product development.

    Florian Baumann studied Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computer Engineering at the Leibniz University of Hannover.

    He received his Dipl.-Ing. 2012. In 2015, he received his Dr.-Ing. focusing on Machine Learning applied to Scene Understanding using Machine Learning techniques.
